Explore the historic old town with all its important sights during a guided tour of town or take a comfortable easy walk through Kempten yourself. If you prefer the calming effect of nature, a walking path will take you to green spaces starting from the centrally located Rathausplatz in a few minutes. But you can also take a walking tour in Kempten. Start your tour to the Kempten’s own mountain 'Mariaberg' with almost 915 metres above sea level from the Rathausplatz in Kempten’s town centre.

Walking trilogy and the St. James Pilgrimage

Known worldwide and a once-in-a-lifetime event: the St. James Pilgrimage. Some of the paths cross through the Allgäu; the Munich St. James Pilgrimage goes even straight through Kempten. You can walk some shorter stretches of this well-known pilgrimage here or start from here on a longer tour.
If you do not want to walk quite to Spain or at least explore the Allgäu on foot, you should, however, not miss the
