Arriving, parking and getting around

To get to your vacation in Kempten there are numerous options, because the city is excellently connected. It is located directly on the A7 highway, has an eastern railway station and a main train station and Memmingen Airport is not far away. The inner-city bus network is well developed and linked to that of the region, so that public transport is an alternative to the car for your local mobility. The two long-distance bike paths, the Allgäu and Iller bike paths, intersect in Kempten, making the region easy to explore by bike.
If you are on vacation in Kempten by car, whether your own, a hired car or a car-sharing model, there are numerous parking options in and near the city centre. We show you which parking spaces and parking garages are available and where you can charge your e-car. For touring coaches, there are parking spaces not far from the city centre, as well as a stop option to get on and off the bus directly at St.-Mang-Platz. Travelling cyclists can use the Bikebox as well as charging points for e-bikes, and motor homes are best parked at the Illerdamm.
