The weekly market takes places on Wednesdays and Saturdays on Hildegardplatz. Around 50 market stalls offer goods from Kempten, the Allgäu region, Lake Constance, Italy and the world, inklusing seasonal fruit and vegetables, cheese, fish and cured meats, home-made pasta, plants, honey and many more delicacies. Plus, you simply must sample the regional freshly prepared delicacies at one of the many food stalls on the market.

A small but excellent farmers’ market is held in the town once a week as part of Bavaria’s ‘Initiative Bauernmärkte’. Every friday (except on public holidays and subject no change), seasonal and regional delicacies, from stone oven-baked products to the rustic ‘Kässpatzen’ van are waiting for you around the Anna-Schwegelin-Brunnen water fountain on Residenzplatz.
